Fireworks Festival 2020 has been cancelled

Since 1999 Fireworks Australia has run fireworks demonstrations for our clients to showcase the latest and greatest new fireworks imported into the Australian market. The early showcase events attracted large public crowds along with fireworks professionals from around the country. Moving forward a few years, and due to popular public demand, the Gunning Fireworks Festival was born. This showcase became a public festival so that the large spectators group could be managed safely and there could be opportunities for local fund raising and engagement.

After almost 20 years, as public spectators and campers grew in numbers, running it as a public event has become prohibitively expensive and the event requires more site infrastructure to grow and develop. With public safety front and centre, we have made the hard decision to not go ahead with the Gunning Fireworks Festival in 2020.

It is important particularly to thank and recognise the residents of Gunning who graciously accepted the noise and crowds every year.

Fireworks Australia remains a local business. From its Gundaroo base the business supplies pyrotechnics and show services Australia wide.
